Contact person for data protection questions:
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Personal data is treated confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection laws (in particular the Swiss Data Protection Act – DPA – and the EU General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) as well as this Privacy Policy.
Communication between your browser and our website is encrypted via TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Our website is operated via Vercel's hosting and deployment infrastructure.
As part of hosting, technically necessary connection and log data, in particular IP addresses, may be processed in order to ensure the secure and stable operation of the website.
The processing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss DPA. Where the GDPR applies, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
The resulting connection and log data is processed by Vercel on our behalf and temporarily stored in accordance with the retention periods provided by Vercel. To the extent that we can access such data via our Vercel account, we do so only insofar as this is necessary for operating the website, ensuring IT security and analysing errors. The data is then deleted or overwritten by Vercel.
This website uses one technically necessary cookie to store your selected language.
Apart from that, we do not use cookies.
We do not use analytics or tracking tools and in particular we do not use Google Analytics.
In some places, we link to external third-party content (e.g. NZZ or YouTube). This content is not embedded on our website, but is only accessed once you click the relevant link. From that point onwards, the privacy provisions of the respective provider apply.
If you use our contact form or newsletter sign-up, the data you enter is transmitted directly from your browser to the Formcarry service so that your message or registration can be forwarded to us.
The contact form does not allow the free transmission of particularly sensitive information; only the expressly provided form fields are transmitted.
The data you enter is not stored on this website. Storage of the transmitted form contents in the Formcarry dashboard is disabled.
After successful transmission, however, your enquiry or registration is forwarded to ECOFIN as an email and may therefore be stored in the mail systems and on mail servers used for our correspondence.
We retain contact enquiries only for as long as this is necessary to process your enquiry, for any follow-up questions or to comply with legal retention obligations.
If you sign up for the newsletter, we use your email address until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent. After you unsubscribe, we may retain minimal information about the unsubscribe in order to ensure that you do not receive the newsletter again.
Legal bases for contact enquiries and newsletter:
You can withdraw your consent to receiving the newsletter at any time.
Insofar as our service providers (in particular Vercel and Formcarry) transfer personal data to the USA or to other countries without an adequate level of data protection, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular standard contractual clauses or other transfer mechanisms recognised under applicable data protection law.
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
Please send requests to: vermoegensverwaltung@ecofin.ch.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. The competent data protection authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
This Privacy Policy applies from April 9, 2026.
We reserve the right to amend it if necessary, for example in the event of legal changes or an expansion of our offering.
